We are a non for profit K9 Search and Rescue team, a division of the Kankakee County Sheriffs CERTS Team. We are funded solely by donations. Handlers are not compensated for their search efforts. Our dogs are trained in man-trailing, scent tracking, article and evidence recovery and human remains detection. Dogs are trained to search land, water shorelines and open water from a boat, detail vehicles and search buildings.

Handlers dedicate vast amounts of time to train dogs spending much of their own resources on training seminars and certifications. Our team had been called out to search all over the midwest for missing persons and various disaster situations.
